We use these bands on beef cattle instead of ear tags. They last in readable condition for up to two years. Before inking we wash with Dawn to remove oils and lightly sand the inking area in order to get a good tight inking. Rarely does one come off by itself. Added bonus is they are adjustable so they are great for weaning calves through their growth to adult size.
